Take Action Training is a Potchefstroom-based training provider focused on risk-specific occupational health and safety training in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. We help businesses, teams and organisations build better emergency readiness through First Aid, Fire Safety and Occupational Health & Safety Legal Compliance training designed to support OHSA compliance.

The company is led by Jaco Jansen van Vuuren, an experienced emergency medical practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in emergency medical services. His background includes operational ambulance work, team and resource management, patient care, emergency response, documentation, equipment readiness and workplace health and safety responsibilities.

This real-world emergency response experience gives Take Action Training a practical edge. Our training is not only about theory, it is about helping learners understand what to do, when to act and how to respond with confidence in real workplace situations. Our goal is to keep employees out of hospital and employers out of jail.
Meet the Trainer
Jaco Jansen van Vuuren
Jaco Jansen van Vuuren brings more than 10 years of emergency medical services experience to Take Action Training. He qualified as an Ambulance Emergency Assistant and has experience in emergency response, patient care, team and resource management, documentation, stock and equipment readiness, and workplace health and safety responsibilities.
His background includes Basic Ambulance Assistant and Ambulance Emergency Assistant training with active HPCSA registration. Active Basic Life Support and CPR for Professionals Instructor registration with Resuscitation Counsil of South Africa. Additional qualifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, International Trauma Life Support and HASMAN Practitioner Certificate.
This experience allows Take Action Training to present safety training in a practical and relatable way. The focus is on helping learners understand real workplace risks, respond calmly during emergencies and apply safer daily working practices.
